THUMB BRAKE
(FORK CLAMP TYPE)

SATO RACING Race Concept* Thumb Brake (Fork Clamp Type) is a left side fork-mounted brake lever that allows you to apply the rear brake with the thumb of your left hand, instead of your right foot. This setup can be useful on the track for those times when you are going too low in a right turn to be able to get your foot on the brake.

Our Thumb Brake features an integrated Brembo 13mm-type master cylinder will help ensure good compatibility with most common rear calipers. To eliminate play, bearings are utilized in the brake lever pivot, and a heim joint is used in the push rod portion. To simplify installation, the fork clamp has a quick-release design, and is attached using a single bolt. Lever angle can be adjusted up or down to help eliminate any possible interference issues. Parts are CNC-machined out of billet aluminum, with a Black and Silver anodized finish. Available for 50mm fork diameter initially. (This size is seen in the sample photo below).

NOTE: The Thumb Brake is intended to take the place of the right foot brake, although if you want to retain the use of the foot brake, a custom setup where you have 2 separate brake lines going to the rear brake (stunt bike style) should also be possible, although brake line parts designed for that purpose will be necessary.

Note: brake fluid reservoir and brake hose are not included.
This part is not recommended for ABS-equipped bikes.

* Our 'Race Concept' series of parts are limited production, specialized racing parts meant for track use only and are not designed for or intended for street use.
